The Googan Squad Vermin is an 8-inch soft plastic rat lure built to creep, crawl, and swim its way into some seriously violent bites.
Designed with a segmented 5-inch body and 3-inch tail, the Vermin creates a natural swimming action that brings the profile of a fleeing rat to life on the water. Realistic textures, detailed color patterns, and natural hair accents add another level of realism to help fool even the wariest bass.
But the Vermin wasn't just built to look good. An internal mesh system adds durability to the soft plastic body, helping it stand up to aggressive strikes and multiple fish. Each 2-pack also includes a weedless swimbait hook, allowing you to take the Vermin through grass, around laydowns, under overhanging cover, and into the places where big bass are waiting to ambush their next meal.
Swim it across the surface, work it around cover, or let that long tail do the talking. When a rat hits the water, everything is on the menu.

The Vermin Weedless Rat
How to fish it
MEET THE VERMIN WEEDLESS RAT
Developed over more than a year by LakeForkGuy, Jon B, and Googan product designer Phillip, the Vermin was designed to bring the profile and natural swimming action of a rat to a soft-bodied bait you can throw almost anywhere. Its segmented body creates a realistic swimming action across the surface, while an internal mesh system adds durability and a belly hook slot allows it to be rigged weedless with a weighted swimbait hook. The result is a topwater bait you can swim across open water, over grass and pads, around docks, through laydowns, and into the kind of cover where you'd expect a real mouse or rat to end up.

Questions & Answers
Straight answers from the Squad on the Vermin Weedless Rat.
What is the Googan Squad Vermin?
The Vermin is an 8" soft plastic rat lure with a segmented 5" body and 3" tail that swims like a fleeing rat. Realistic textures, detailed colors and natural hair accents make it look alive, and an internal mesh system makes the body tough enough to survive aggressive strikes.
What comes in a pack of Vermin?
Each pack includes 2 Vermin rats and 1 weedless swimbait hook, so you can rig it right out of the package. Rigged with the hook, the Vermin weighs 1.3 oz.
How do you fish a rat lure?
Cast it over or past cover and reel it slowly so the tail swims and the body wakes across the surface like a rat swimming to shore. Crawl it over grass mats and lily pads, then swim it through open pockets. When a big bass blows up on it, wait until you feel the weight before setting the hook.
What are the best Vermin colors?
Field Mouse, Chipmunk and Squirrel look natural around shorelines and grass. Black and Brown gives a strong silhouette in low light and at night. Lab Rat is a light color that bass can see from below on bright days.
When and where does the Vermin work best?
Rat lures shine in the summer and fall, in low light and at night, when big bass are hunting near the surface. Fish the Vermin over grass mats and pads, along shorelines and around wood.
How fast will my order ship?
Orders typically ship within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays), mainly via USPS, and you'll get a tracking email as soon as yours is on the way. U.S. orders over $99 ship free, and returns are free within 45 days.
