Nuke Punch
- Infused with Slaunch Sauce
- Designed for Heavy Cover
- Max Water Displacement
Reserve colors are limited edition.
The Nuke Punch is a punch bait engineered to punch through the thickest mats and draw strikes where other baits can’t. Inspired by the #1-selling Bandito Bug, we took everything anglers love—like the patented flanged-tail—and beefed it up for heavy-duty flipping. The thickened mid-section keeps your bait pegged and in position, while the aggressive ribbing displaces maximum water to trigger reaction strikes via the bass’s lateral line.
This bait mimics a swimming craw or minnow, making it deadly on the move. And with our proprietary Slaunch Sauce scent, it’s got flavor no bass can resist (and honestly, it smells so good, you might be tempted too).
- Designed for heavy cover – Flips through thick mats with ease
- Maximum water displacement – Ribbed body creates serious vibration
- Infused with Slaunch Sauce – That extra edge when the bite is tough

The Nuke Punch
Questions & Answers
Straight answers from the Squad on the Nuke Punch.
What is the Googan Baits Nuke Punch?
The Nuke Punch is a 4" punch bait built to punch through the thickest mats and heavy cover. Inspired by the Bandito Bug, it keeps the patented flanged appendages but adds a thicker mid-section that stays pegged in place when flipping, plus aggressive ribbing that displaces water to trigger reaction strikes. It's infused with Slaunch Sauce scent.
How do you rig a punch bait?
Use a heavy tungsten flipping weight, often 1 oz or more, pegged tight to the bait with a weight stop so the weight and bait stay together as they punch through the mat. Texas rig the Nuke Punch on a heavy-duty flipping hook. Googan's Tungsten Flippin' Weights and Weight Stops are made for this setup.
How do you fish the Nuke Punch?
Flip or pitch it onto matted grass and let the heavy weight punch it through to the fish below. Let it fall to the bottom, hop it once or twice, then pull it out and flip to the next spot. Bites often come right as it breaks through the mat, so be ready to set the hook. You can also skip it under docks and overhanging cover with a lighter weight.
What's the difference between the Nuke Punch and the Bandito Bug?
The Nuke Punch is built from the Bandito Bug's design but beefed up for punching heavy mats. Its thicker mid-section stays pegged against a heavy weight, and its compact shape slides through cover. The Bandito Bug is more versatile for Texas rigs, Carolina rigs and jig trailers.
What are the best Nuke Punch colors?
Black Blue Flake is the classic punching color, with a strong silhouette in the shade under mats. Green Pumpkin, Green Pumpkin Purple and Watermelon Red Flake look natural in clearer water and around grass. Okeechobee Craw is a great craw color for stained water.
When and where does the Nuke Punch work best?
Punching shines in the summer and fall, and in late spring once grass mats form and the water warms, when bass hide under thick vegetation for shade and cover. Fish the Nuke Punch in matted grass, thick wood, brush and any cover too dense for other baits. Each pack includes 7 baits.
How fast will my order ship?
Orders typically ship within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays), mainly via USPS, and you'll get a tracking email as soon as yours is on the way. U.S. orders over $99 ship free, and returns are free within 45 days.
