How do you fish a deep diving crankbait?
Make the longest cast you can, then reel steadily so the bait digs down to its full depth. Keep it bumping the bottom, rocks and brush, since deflections trigger the most strikes. Fluorocarbon line sinks and helps the bait dive deeper, and a crankbait rod with a softer tip helps keep fish hooked.
Which Recon should I choose?
Pick by depth. The Mini Recon dives 3-6 ft, the Original Recon dives 8-12 ft, and the Grande Recon dives 15-20 ft. Use the Grande Recon when bass are holding on deep ledges, humps and offshore structure.
