What is the Googan Squad Scout?
The Scout is a suspending jerkbait that mimics a lively, wounded baitfish. When ripped, it slashes and dances erratically, then suspends in the middle of the water column, giving bass time to strike. Its internal rattle chamber calls fish and adds casting distance, and it has sticky-sharp black nickel hooks. It's 4 1/3" and 1/2 oz, dives 4-6 ft, and has #8 hooks. Each pack includes one bait.
How do you fish a jerkbait?
Cast it out and reel a few turns to bring it down to depth. Then snap the rod tip down two or three times on slack line so the jerkbait darts side to side, and pause. Bass usually hit on the pause, so lengthen the pauses in cold water (up to several seconds) and shorten them when fish are active.
What's the difference between the Scout and the Jr. Scout?
