Blooper

The Blooper is a topwater popper lure built for maximum commotion. Its cupped mouth throws water and makes a loud bloop, while "Rumble Strips" on the belly add drag and surface disturbance. It rattles, has two sticky-sharp needlepoint hooks, and has a feathered rear hook that keeps moving when the bait sits still. It's 2 3/4" and 3/8 oz with #6 hooks. Each pack includes one bait.

Cast the popper out and let the rings fade, then give the rod a short, sharp twitch so the cupped mouth spits water and bloops. Pause between pops, since bass often hit while the bait is sitting still. Speed up with quick pops when fish are aggressive, and slow down with longer pauses when they're less active.

The feathers keep moving even when the popper is sitting still, adding lifelike movement during your pauses. That subtle motion is often what convinces a bass that has been following the bait to finally strike.

Bone and Matte Bone are classic topwater colors that work in almost any water. Shad colors like Sexy Shad, Native Shad and Shattered Shad, plus Ghost Gill, imitate baitfish in clear water. Night Club gives a darker silhouette in low light and on cloudy days.

Poppers shine in the spring and post-spawn, all summer long, and in low light at dawn and dusk when bass feed near the surface. Fish the Blooper in the shallows, around docks, over grass and near brush.
