Why throw one bait, when you can throw the entire school? Meet the Googan Squad Schooler, designed to mimic a tightly packed group of vulnerable baitfish and trigger aggressive, competitive feeding strikes from hungry bass. Featuring six lifelike minnows with realistic 3D eyes, the Schooler creates the illusion of an entire pod of easy meals swimming together. Constructed from durable elastomer material for enhanced flexibility and natural movement, this bait is built to bring a whole new presentation to your tackle box.

Instead of relying on a single baitfish profile, the Schooler delivers the appearance of multiple baitfish in one compact presentation. It's a different look that can help grab the attention of bass feeding on schools of shad and other small forage. Whether you're targeting actively feeding fish or looking to trigger a reaction strike, the Schooler gives bass something they don't see from your everyday soft plastic!

Available in 2" and 2.5" sizes, the Schooler gives bass more than just one target. When they see a school of easy meals, they don't just bite. They crush it.

Questions & Answers

Straight answers from the Squad on the Schooler.

What is the Googan Baits Schooler?

The Schooler is a soft bait built to look like a tightly packed school of baitfish. It has six lifelike minnows with realistic 3D eyes in one compact bait, so bass see a whole pod of easy meals instead of a single minnow. It's made from durable, flexible elastomer for natural movement and comes in 2" and 2.5" sizes, with one bait per pack.

Why use a bait that looks like a school of baitfish?

Bass feeding on shad and other small baitfish often attack schools, and competing with other fish makes them strike more aggressively. The Schooler shows them several baitfish at once, which can trigger those competitive reaction strikes. It's a similar idea to an umbrella rig, which also shows bass multiple baits, but packed into one compact soft bait.

How do you fish the Schooler?

Swim it with a slow, steady retrieve past points, drop-offs and anywhere you see bass busting shad. The six-minnow profile looks just like a tight school of baitfish moving together. When bass are actively feeding, speed up for a reaction strike. When they're less active, slow down to keep it in the strike zone longer.

Should I get the 2" or the 2.5" Schooler?

Match the size to the baitfish bass are eating. The 2" Schooler is the finesse choice for small shad, fry and pressured fish. The 2.5" has a slightly bigger profile for when the baitfish are bigger or you want a little more presence in the water.

What are the best Schooler colors?

Shad and minnow colors like Baitfish, Shiner, Electric Shad and Icy Blue imitate baitfish in clear to lightly stained water. Pro Blue Red and Violet Albino add extra color. Chartreuse Smoke is easy for bass to find in stained water, and Green Pumpkin is a natural choice around grass and bottom cover.

When and where does the Schooler work best?

The Schooler shines whenever bass are keyed on shad and small baitfish, especially in the summer and fall when baitfish school up. Fish it around points, ledges and drop-offs, along grass lines and docks, and in open water where bass are chasing bait.

How many Schoolers come in a pack, and how long do they last?

Each pack includes one Schooler. It's made from elastomer, a stretchy material that's much tougher than standard soft plastic, so it can hold up to fish after fish where other baits would tear.

How fast will my order ship?

Orders typically ship within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays), mainly via USPS, and you'll get a tracking email as soon as yours is on the way. U.S. orders over $99 ship free, and returns are free within 45 days.
