The Bass Mafia Hitman Wake Bait
Questions & Answers
Straight answers from the Squad on the Bass Mafia Hitman Wake Bait.
What is the Bass Mafia Hitman?
The Hitman is a wake bait and swimbait built to target the biggest bass in the lake. Its internally weighted design gives it a perfectly balanced swim every time, and its belly-hook setup is built for maximum hookups. It's 3.6" and 1.5 oz with #4 hooks.
How do you fish a wake bait?
Cast it out and reel slowly with your rod tip up, just fast enough to keep the bait wobbling right under the surface and pushing a V-shaped wake. Run it past wood, rocks and other shallow cover. Bass often swirl before eating, so wait until you feel the weight before setting the hook.
What are the best Hitman colors?
Chrome Shiner, Citrus Shad and Greenback Flash imitate baitfish. Black and Bluegill, Serial Giller and Ghost Gill match bluegill, and Pro Bass and Smallie Smasher mimic other bass. Bone and Koi are high-visibility options for low light and stained water.
When is the best time to fish a wake bait?
Wake baits shine in low light at dawn, dusk and on cloudy days, and on calm summer and fall evenings when bass are looking up. Fish the Wake Banger in the shallows, around wood and over rocks.
Who is Bass Mafia?
Bass Mafia is a tackle brand known for premium, specialty bass baits. Googan Squad partners with Bass Mafia to bring select baits to the Squad, including the Daingerous swimbaits, crankbaits, jerkbaits, topwaters and spoons, all available right here alongside Googan gear.
How fast will my order ship?
Orders typically ship within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays), mainly via USPS, and you'll get a tracking email as soon as yours is on the way. U.S. orders over $99 ship free, and returns are free within 45 days.
