How deep does the Capo dive?
The Capo comes in three sizes. The 1/2 oz dives 8-12 ft with #4 hooks, the 9/10 oz dives 13-16 ft with #2 hooks, and the largest size dives 18-22 ft with 1/0 hooks. Choose the size that reaches just past the depth bass are holding, so the bait digs into the bottom.
How do you fish a deep diving crankbait?
Make the longest cast you can, then reel steadily so the bait digs down to its full depth. Keep it bumping the bottom, rocks and brush, since deflections trigger the most strikes. Fluorocarbon line sinks and helps the bait dive deeper, and a crankbait rod with a softer tip helps keep fish hooked.
