The Rip Blade Bait
Questions & Answers
Straight answers from the Squad on the Rip Blade Bait.
What is the Googan Baits Rip blade bait?
The Rip is a compact blade bait for bass and multi-species fishing. When ripped, its erratic, high-vibration action mimics a dying baitfish and triggers strikes from sluggish fish in cold water. It's 2" and 1/2 oz with #8 front and #6 rear hooks. Each pack includes one bait.
How do you fish a blade bait?
Let the blade bait sink to the bottom or to suspended fish, then snap the rod up just enough to feel it vibrate, and let it fall back on a semi-slack line. Most bites come on the fall. You can fish it vertically under the boat, cast it out and hop it back along the bottom ("yo-yo"), or retrieve it steadily.
What fish can you catch on the Rip?
The Rip catches largemouth and smallmouth bass, along with other species that feed on baitfish in cold water. Its compact size and strong vibration make it a versatile choice for multi-species anglers.
What are the best Rip colors?
Chrome and Pearl match shad in clear water. Gold Chrome adds flash in stained water and on cloudy days. Perch imitates perch, and Chartreuse Pearl and Purple Shiner add visibility in deeper or darker water.
When is the best time to fish a blade bait?
Blade baits are a top choice in cold water and winter, when fish group up deep and won't chase. Fish the Rip along ledges and in open water over deep structure, wherever you find schools of fish on your electronics.
How fast will my order ship?
Orders typically ship within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays), mainly via USPS, and you'll get a tracking email as soon as yours is on the way. U.S. orders over $99 ship free, and returns are free within 45 days.
